15 Things That Will Deplete Your Credibility Bank - The Center Consulting Group - Leadership Coaching and Consulting for Businesses, Churches, and Non-Profits

Credibility is very easy to lose but takes work to build and maintain. Why? Because credibility withdrawals for unfavorable behaviors are often greater in magnitude than the deposits for favorable behaviors. Here are 15 things that will quickly deplete your credibility bank and subsequently chip away at your leadership influence.

1. Having insufficient knowledge

2. Ignorance

3. Careless research

4. Inaccurate information

5. Outdated data

6. Lack of follow-through

7. Empty/broken promises

8. Hypocrisy

9. Duplicity

10. Pretense

11. Lack of authenticity

12. Minimization

13. Exaggeration

14. Selectivity/bias/omission

15. Dishonesty

Many of these credibility destroyers can be avoided or the behaviors can be changed. Contact us to learn how a coach can help you identify areas for improvement and create a plan for leadership growth and development!
