50% of All Employees Will Need to Be Re-Skilled by 2025 - What Is Your Plan?

50% of All Employees Will Need to Be Re-Skilled by 2025. What Is Your Plan? - The Center Consulting Group - Leadership Coaching and Consulting for Businesses, Churches, and Nonprofits

According to the World Economic Forum’s Future of Jobs Report, disruptions such as new technologies, automation, and the impact of the pandemic are key factors contributing to the changing needs of employees. The report states that 50% of all employees will need to be retrained in the next five years in specific skill areas. Perhaps this is true (or maybe slightly over-stated), but most leaders who were leading organizations 25 years ago also would have mentioned similar skill areas as being essential for their employees. These essential skills (needed both then and now) can be summarized as the following:

  1. Self-Management: How to build personal grit, manage stress, and remain nimble.

  2. Working with People: How to appreciate and work with diverse team members, manage conflict, build relational connection, and appropriately deal with conflict.

  3. Critical Thinking & Problem-Solving: How to see interconnective pieces of a complex system and then innovate and utilize creative thinking to both prevent problems as well as solve them.

  4. Technology Use: How to understand, utilize, and continue to learn the new technologies that are impacting all aspects of both careers and personal lives.

What do all of these skills have in common? The need for continual learning. For the past 20 years, our skilled coaches and custom-designed processes have guided the learning of owners, CEOs, COOs, managers, and pastors in:

  • How to effectively lead themselves and others

  • How to develop the thinking skills that are essential for a fast-paced, never idle environment

  • How to anticipate both new opportunities as well as remove obstacles that are in the way of personal and organizational growth

How Will You Prepare Your Team?

We believe traditional educational programs can add important value to leaders and team members in these areas. But one thing they often lack is custom-designed coaching crafted for your unique needs. At The Center, we aim to make sure our services are tailored to your needs as well as the needs of your organization. Two key words are PERSONALIZED and AFFORDABLE. No generic seminars/courses or cookie-cutter approaches.

So, what is your plan for ensuring your team is ready for 2025?

Our experienced coaches can assist you and your team as you prepare for the future needs of the workplace, and our discounted Year of the Team package can also help boost your team’s skills in the areas of self-management and working with others. Contact us to learn more.
